The problem
A driving school has dozens of price variants per licence class. A chatbot that quotes one wrong price creates a real problem for the business, so prices could not be left to a language model.
What we built
We separated facts from language. Price sheets are extracted offline and verified with arithmetic checks. The assistant asks one to four short multiple-choice questions until exactly one course remains, then shows the verified price. The model only routes unclear questions and translates. We also built the same assistant as a multi-agent RAG workflow and benchmarked both against the same golden price set.
Capabilities
What it does
- The AI never writes a price: every euro shown comes from a store of verified price sheets
- Guided follow-up questions for licence classes B, BE, A, A1, A2, C and C1
- Each price sheet passes arithmetic checks: net plus VAT equals total, and line items add up
- A ground-truth test re-reads every original PDF and fails the build on any mismatch
- Outdated price sheets are archived and never served
- Hands the customer to staff when not confident; answers in German or English automatically
- Benchmarked against a 27-node multi-agent version: the deterministic engine matched every price, the RAG version 41/42
